The new ZF Transmissions plant in Gray Court (just a little bit south of Fountain Inn on I-385) has an immediate need for an HR Intern to assist with administrative and basic HR duties in their department.  Here are the details!


Human Resources Internship - ZF Transmissions, Gray Court, SC

This is an exciting time for a college student to get their foot in the door with this company!  With 117 plants in 26 countries, ZF is one of the world's leading automotive industry suppliers specializing in driveline and chassis technologies.  This new plant will produce 8-speed transmissions and the world's first 9-speed transmission!

Hours:  25-30 hours per week.  The manager prefers someone who can work 30 hours.  Intern can choose their schedule based around their school schedule.  Must be during normal working hours (8-5).

Length of internship:  Can go as long as they are in school, up to 1-2 years.  Must be able to commit to at least 6 months.  Prefer minimum of 1 year.  There will most likely be an opportunity for this person to apply for internal positions at the end of the internship, depending on their job performance.

Specific job duties:

*         Interview scheduling

*         Send welcome e-mails to new employees

*         Enter/update information in hiring plan

*         Filing

*         Create and update job postings

*         Put together new hire packets

*         Put together and update interview packets

*         Maintain HR forms rack

*         Add cost centers to invoices

*         Process E-verify for new employees

School:
Must currently be attending college.  Can be working on 2-year, 4-year or master's program.  Must be working on an HR, Business or related degree.

Pay rates:
$12 - Freshman
$13 - Sophomore
$14 - Junior
$16 - Senior or Master's program student

Requirements:

*         Must currently be enrolled in a 2-year, 4-year or master's level HR, Business or related degree program.

*         Must be enrolled in school for the duration of the internship.  Must be available for a minimum of 6 months (1 year is preferred).

*         Strong computer/typing skills and written/verbal communication skills.

*         Must be able to multi-task and be very detail oriented.

*         Intermediate level experience and skills with MS Office software - Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

*         Must be located in the Upstate area and able to commute to the ZF plant in Gray Court easily.

*         Must be able to start the internship in the next 2-3 weeks.

*         Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

*         Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening before starting.

*         Previous HR internship or work experience a plus.

*         HR software experience a plus.
