In an effort to not bombard you with so many emails each week, I am starting a 'Friday Announcements' email to keep you updated on deadlines, upcoming events and program information.  Enjoy!

Giveaways

Congratulations Liza Twery McAngus, Julia Patton, and Brent Yandle!!!!  They are the winners of this week's MBA Giveaway!  Please touch base with Jeremy to claim your prize (jmonday at clemson.edu<mailto:jmonday at clemson.edu>).  Jeremy will have the box at the front desk again on Monday to start collecting names for the drawing next week!

New Courses Added for Fall 2012 and Course Scheduling

If you have not registered yet for Fall 2012, please do so ASAP as many of the courses are full.  Please email Jane Layton (elayton at clemson.edu<mailto:elayton at clemson.edu>) or I (jpatte4 at clemson.edu<mailto:jpatte4 at clemson.edu>) if you have any questions or concerns.

Because of our record enrollment, we have added two additional classes!

There is now a non-study abroad option for MBA 899- International Law.  The non-study abroad option is Section 001 and will meet with the study abroad section on Tuesday nights.  This course can count as an elective.

We also added an additional section of the Seminar Series, MBA 880/850/881.  The new section, Section 232, will run the same night (Wednesday) as the other seminar series but will be offered in a different order.

Both MBA 899, Section 001 (International Business Law) and MBA 880/850/881, Section 232 (Seminar Series) are open for registration now!

This is a friendly reminder that if you are taking the seminar series (MBA 881/850/880), you must register for each course individually and you must take them all together.  The three 1 credit hour courses will end up equaling a 3 credit hour semester long course.  All three seminars are graded as Pass/Fail.

The new Fall 2012 Schedule is attached.

Message from Jenna Gladney at Little Steps:



Hi Clemson MBAs!  My name is Jenna and I work with Little Steps, a non-profit organization currently in Greenville and soon to be

opening a new location in Anderson. What we do is provide parenting, life skills, and encouragement to teenagers

who have children. How it works is the mothers come to classes and earn Baby Bucks for participation, homework,

and attendance. They can then spend those Baby Bucks to buy baby clothes, maternity clothes, diapers, toys, or

even items like car seats and cribs.



We have needs for childcare, general cleaning, items or money that can be donated, and if you have any

"specialties" I'm sure we can find a great place to use your skills! You can find out more about our organization by

Book Exchange
A textbook exchange will be held on Thursday, August 2nd that allows students, both full and part time, to buy and sell textbooks from the program.
Where:  Classroom 2C
When: Thursday, August 2
Time: 5:30 to 8:30 PM
Here's how it works:
Drop off your textbooks in the lobby at the allocated DROP BOX.  Deadline is July 30th. Write your full name, email, and your price on a sticky note and attach on the inside cover.  An email of the books available for sale will be emailed to all students the day before the book exchange.  If your book sells, you will be contacted and will be paid.  If your book doesn't sell, you will be contacted to pick it up at a convenient time.  You can also bring your books to the book exchange.
