               Monday   August  3rd   4:00pm EST

Undergraduate students involved in REUs and similar programs as well as

previous years a panel of several faculty will evaluate submitted research
abstracts. About 70 student applicants will be selected for participation
based on these reviews. We expect most decisions on invitations and support

include three distinguished plenary lectures by

          Carolyn Gordon (Dartmouth)
          Peter Sarnak   (Princeton & I.A.S.).

We will also continue our "Graduate School Orientation" this year with
representatives from various different US graduate programs in mathematics.
This year we expect that representatives from the mathematics graduate
programs of the Univ of Chicago, M.I.T., Univ of Arizona, Univ of Nebraska,
Lehigh Univ, Princeton, Dartmouth, UIC, and Ohio State will participate in
the graduate panel discussion and will be available during social events.
We expect additional representatives from further institutions which were
   also invited to participate.
