[Mathreu] Disestablishmentarianism

Friends,

There is no more joyous sport than pickup Frisbee. People happily run back
and forth, snatching at a floating disc as though they were attempting to
catch their ephemeral youth, generally enjoying each others' company and the
moment. It is almost pastoral.

On the other hand, there is no more heinous abomination, no greater scar on
the face of athletic pursuit, than organized Frisbee. Organization leads to
competition, competition leads to anger, anger leads to people yelling and
fighting. This is all very well and good for, say, football, but this is a
bunch of people throwing a piece of plastic around, for Pete's sake. Yelling
and getting angry about a non-contact sport is not fun, and if you wanted to
do something that wasn't fun, you should have just stayed home and cleaned
the bathroom or listened to sports talk radio or something.

Do your part to contribute to fun by showing up for un-organized Frisbee
today. The game takes place, as always, on the field next to the baseball
stadium, starting sometime after 5:00. Dinner may or may not follow the
game.
