[Mathreu] Throwing Things

(The Phillip is off this week, as he is helping to bring down an organized
Ultimate Frisbee League in New England. There is nothing The Phillip hates
more than organized Frisbee. "Bunch of pikers," (s)he always says when
anyone brings up organized frisbee. The rest of us just nod and pretend to
know what a "piker" is.)

 

"Throwing Things" is the title of a song by North Carolina power-pop trio
Superchunk. True story: I dated the former webmaster at Mammoth Records, who
informed me that Superchunk bass player Laura Ballard was "the worst bassist
ever."

Throwing things is also something to do on Friday, because Friday is Frisbee
day. Frisbee will occur on the field by the baseball diamond, and will start
sometime after 5:00 p.m. (by which, we mean 5:30-ish, not 8:00, or
Saturday). Remember, it's warm outside, bring water and sunscreen, and
perhaps some deodorant if you're planning to go to dinner afterwards.
