[Mathreu] REU participant presentations and colloquia

Hi all,

There will be several REU talks this week.  We have colloquia scheduled 
for Wednesday and Friday mornings and our participants' presentations of 
their summer research will be Tuesday-Thursday in the afternoon.  All 
talks will be in M101 and all are invited to attend.  Below is a 
detailed schedule.

Tuesday      1:30  REU presentation:  ``Constantly constants'' by Lauren 
Huckaba, Jason Joyner and Josh Schwartz

Wednesday 9:30  Colloquium:  ``The presidential election of 1876'' by 
Todd Mateer

Wednesday 2:00  REU presentation:  ``Probabilistic Cube Cuts'' by Becky 
Myers, Eric Reidl and Veronica Thomas

Thursday    1:30  REU presentation:  ``Taking the `convoluted' out of 
Bernoulli convolution:  A combinatorial approach''

Friday      11:30  Colloquium:  ``The Lang-Trotter conjecture on
