Dear REU PI,

 

I am sending you a reminder to share with students and colleagues our 
information on the National Science Foundation programs that are 
recruiting future graduate students.  As you know, NSF IGERT, GK-12 and 
GRF programs provide generous stipend ($30,000 per year) and tuition 
support for students and many of their home institutions provide 
excellent mentoring and support via AGEP

NSF sponsored websites which can be accessed through 
www.ibparticipation.org <http://www.ibparticipation.org> have more than 
100 programs throughout the nation that offer this support.

 

Attached you will find our student information form.  *We are asking all 
REU PIs to have their students fill these out and send them back to our 
office either by mail, fax *OR by directing your students to our online 
form that can be found on our website at the specific link  
http://www.igert.org/contactprogram.asp

 

In our experience REU students are highly likely to pursue a graduate 
degree.   For this reason we are attempting to reach as many of these 
students as possible while they are studying in your programs over the 
next few months.  

 

We appreciate your help spreading the word about NSF graduate funding 
opportunities with your students.
