[Mathreu] Wednesday cookout.

Hi all,

We will be having a cookout next Wednesday evening along with some other 
REU groups.  This will take place at the outdoor lab.  Attached is a map 
showing how to get to the outdoor lab.  Below is the announcement sent 
out to other programs.

Multi-group cookout and games, Wed., May 30, 4:00-8:00pm, Clemson 
University Outdoor Lab

Next Wednesday, May 30, we will have a get-together and cookout with the 
participants in two other summer undergraduate research programs at 
Clemson: the math REU program, and the genetics REU program.  This will 
be an opportunity for you to widen your circle of acquaintances on 
campus for the summer.
The event will begin at 4:00pm and will be held at the Clemson 
University Outdoor Lab, an area with picnic facilities, trails, 
volleyball court, and game field on Lake Hartwell about five miles from 
campus. Josh will secure volleyball equipment and will poll you about 
other things you might like to have available. Food will be served 
around 6:00pm. (Prof. Russell has agreed to serve as head chef.)


Directions to the CU Outdoor Lab:

 >From Highway 123 in Clemson:
Turn onto Hwy. 76/28 East towards Anderson. Follow for approximately 
four miles. There will be a green sign indicating a right turn for the 
Outdoor Laboratory.
Turn right onto West Queen Street and go approximately 3 miles. The 
Outdoor Laboratory entrance will be on the left.*
