Postdoctoral position in the field of computational dynamical systems
analysis and fluid dynamics

Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in the field of dynamical
systems type computations in fluid dynamics at the University of Ontario
Institute of Technology (UOIT). Topics of interest include secondary and
tertiary instabilities in rotating, differentially heated flow and unstable
periodic solutions and connecting orbits in turbulent flows.  The position
will begin preferably September 2010, and will be for a term of one year
with the possibility of renewal, subject to funding.  The successful
candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
bifurcation theory, computational science, turbulence, iterative solvers,
and will have earned a doctoral degree in a relevant field.  A single,
three-credit undergraduate teaching assignment may be offered as part of the
position.

The Mathematics group in the Faculty of Science, UOIT has interests in
applied dynamical systems, scientific and high performance computing,
industrial mathematics among other topics.  UOIT is a new university located
just outside of Toronto, Canada.  Research activity at this young university
has grown dramatically in just a few short years; UOIT has already developed
a research profile that is both competitive with, and distinct from, other
Canadian universities, in particular in its interdisciplinary nature.  For
