Steve Gordon is the Director of the Ohio Supercomputer Center and a whale of
an educator. He is working on a project to set the standards for engineering
education in computational science/cyberinfrastructure. Your insights would

I am writing to ask you to participate in an effort to define the education
competencies associated
with undertaking the use of leadership class computing in science and
engineering research. The Ohio
Supercomputer Center is working under a contract from TeraGrid to help
define those competencies and
lead discussions across the high performance computing community to come to
a consensus on the topics
that should be incorporated into graduate programs so that the new
generation of researchers is
prepared to take advantage of the extraordinary computational power at the
leadership scale.
