We had a visitor you may know from Sheffield, Deniz Savos. Deniz is
now back in the UK, but we have established a video-conference
connection. These three universities are owners of the White Rose
grid and are interested in collaboration. The next teleconference
will be on 16 Sep at 9AM in room 116 McAdams.

The three universities are in the cyberinfrastructure mode (they call
it "escience") and also in the computational science and engineering
mode. They are interested in collaborators and new problems. The
teleconference on the 16th will cover the following issues:
	1. Collaborative tools and techniques.
	2. Cyberinfrastructure education.
	3. Middleware.
	4. Lists of projects and collaborators here at Clemson.
	5. Participants willing to work with the UK universities.
	6. Use of social sites/platforms to enable virtual organizations.

If you have an interest in any of these and wish to participate,
please contact me.
