Texas A&M University lies in the heart of the Texas Triangle, a dynamic region anchored by Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin-San Antonio. Nestled within the twin cities of Bryan and College Station, with a metro population
exceeding 287,000, it thrives at the core of this economic and cultural hub. Supported by robust financial resources, the Texas A&M University System and related foundations reported a Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 endowment valued at more than $20 billion, ranking
8th overall and 2nd among public institutions (as reported by the National Association of College and University Business Officers). Demonstrating research excellence, Texas A&M University in College Station and its Health Science Center achieved research
& development expenditures of $1.278 billion for FY 2023, as reported in the National Science Foundation’s Higher Education Research and Development Survey, placing Texas A&M among the top 25 institutions nationwide. Boasting a large and diverse student body,
Texas A&M University has more than 80,000 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled as of the Fall 2025 semester. Leading in engineering education, the College of Engineering, with more than 820 faculty members and over 24,000 students, is one of the largest
engineering schools in the country. Recognized for academic excellence, the college’s graduate program is ranked in the top 10 among public institutions by U.S. News & World Report, with eight of its 15 departments ranked in the Top 10. Additionally, topping
engineering research, the college is ranked first in engineering research expenditures for FY24 as reported to U.S. News & World Report and the American Society for Engineering Education. Committed to faculty support, Texas A&M recognizes that attracting and
retaining exceptional faculty often depends on meeting the needs of two careers and having policies that contribute to work-life balance.
