non-tenure track, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Instructional Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE). While the anticipated hiring rank is Instructional Assistant Professor, senior levels may be
considered based upon experience or the need of the unit. Duties will include, but not be limited to teaching, revising, and developing undergraduate and graduate Industrial and Systems Engineering courses, assessing, and recording student performance, and
managing course content for accreditation purposes. This position serves to engage students outside of the classroom in undergraduate research, college and university committees, and student organizations. The instructional faculty duties consist of 75% teaching,
20% research, and 5% department/professional service. Candidates are expected to be at the cutting edge of teaching pedagogy and conduct research in areas related to Engineering Education that complement and improve their teaching. Candidates are also welcome
to continue or pursue additional research in Industrial and Systems Engineering related topics within the assigned duties. Desired areas of teaching include Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Production and Logistics. Teaching assignments will be made according
to background and experience and department needs. The position will complement other current full-time instructional faculty appointments within the Department and the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. There are currently five Assistant Instructional
faculty and one Full Instructional Professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. The Department also includes 17 tenure-stream faculty. UF ISE offers B.S., M.E., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. We currently have 433 undergraduate students and 222
graduate students. The Department hosts research in various application areas including energy systems, healthcare systems, human-in-the-loop systems, supply chain systems and transportation systems. We also currently host methodological research in data analytics,
human systems engineering, optimization, simulation, and stochastic analysis. There are also outstanding opportunities for interdisciplinary work across the UF campus. More information about the department can be found at
