<p class="MsoNormal">The Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for full-time tenure or tenure-track positions in the areas of
<b>human-systems engineering and human-computer interaction</b>. This position is a nine-month academic appointment with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning in the fall of 2024. Applicants
will be considered for the faculty titles of assistant, associate and full professor levels depending on qualifications. The successful applicants will be required to teach, advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research
program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. ISEN is looking to expand in all areas of Human-Systems Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction, including, but not limited to: Expertise in Physical Ergonomics,
Neuro Ergonomics, and Macroergonomics. In the industrial and systems engineering department, many of the 26 tenure/tenure-track faculty and 16 teaching-focused faculty hold a number of national distinctions, including the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Industrial
Engineering Award; the Albert G. Holzman Distinguished Educator Award; Fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society for Engineering
Education; and editor-in-chief titles. The department has strong and vibrant research programs in advanced manufacturing, data science, human and health systems engineering (human factors and ergonomics) and operations research. The department’s student population
is comprised of about 900 undergraduate students (sophomore to senior level) and over 500 graduate students. More information is available at engineering.tamu.edu/industrial.
