<p class="MsoNormal">I am writing to share some great news about our journal, <i>
IISE Transactions for Healthcare Systems Engineering (IISE-HSE)</i>. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We have been informed by Web of Science (Clarivate) that IISE-HSE is now officially included in the Emerging Science Citation Index (ESCI). Our journal will now have an official impact factor. This is great news for our journal and the
potential authors as we are aware that many universities expect their researchers to only publish in journals that are included in Science Citation Index (SCI). Web of Science includes journals in ESCI first before adding them to SCI. I expect that this news
will increase submissions to our journal significantly. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This success would not have been possible without the support of our community, authors, and editorial board members. I am very grateful for all of the support by our amazing community.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now that we are indexed in ESCI, we should continue to work towards taking the journal to the next level by improving its first official impact factor, which will be crucial to get the journal into SCI. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><i>IISE-HSE has a crucial mission, </i></b>it helps IISE and the industrial engineering (IE) community to demonstrate the potential contributions of IE tools to improve healthcare. We have a lot to offer to improve healthcare. Therefore,
I am requesting the help of all of the IE community to take our journal to the next level and improve our impact.<o:p></o:p></p>

IISE-HSE currently does not appear in PubMed, it is possible that many healthcare researchers are unaware of the excellent papers published in our journal.
