The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University of Houston is inviting faculty candidates for multiple open positions: Two endowed full professors, one tenure-track faculty position in Supply Chain and Logistics Technology, two non-tenure-track positions in Supply Chain and Logistics Technology, and one non-tenure track position in Engineering Management.
Endowed Professors - Industrial Engineering (2 positions)
ISE invites applications for the Durga and Sushila Agrawal Industrial Engineering Endowed Professorship and the Anuradha and Rani Agrawal Industrial Engineering Endowed Professorship, both at the rank of Full Professor, to begin Fall 2026. We are looking for outstanding candidates with a solid methodological background in broad areas in industrial engineering; Operations Research, Manufacturing, Human Factors, and Machine Learning, with innovative applications in Healthcare, Energy, or Complex Systems. Assistant/Associate Professor - Supply Chain and Logistics Technology (SCLT) (1 position)
ISE seeks candidates at Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the broad range of areas within Supply Chain and Logistics Technology. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong methodological foundation in areas such as Optimization, Operations Research, Statistics, and Machine Learning, with impactful applications in fields including energy, health, sustainability, or security. NTT Instructional Assistant/Associate Professor - Supply Chain and Logistics Technology (2 positions)
We seek non-tenure-track, full-time instructional faculty with a passion for engineering education in the broader areas of supply chain, logistics, and transportation. The responsibilities include (1) teaching three courses relevant to the program in SCLT per semester or equivalent course development duties as determined by the ISE Department chair, and (2) contributing to service and administrative tasks as required in the department.

We invite applications for a non-tenure-track instructional position at the assistant or associate professor level in Engineering Management. The responsibilities include (1) teaching three courses relevant to the program in Engineering Management per semester or equivalent course development duties as determined by the ISE Department chair, and (2) contributing to service and administrative tasks as required in the department.
Information about the ISE Department: The ISE Department has 24 full-time faculty members and approximately 900 students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs. The department is experiencing rapid growth in both research activity and student enrollment. Faculty have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the university and in the Houston community in areas including supply chain, logistics, transportation, energy, power systems, resilience, smart cities, sustainability, and manufacturing.
