[IISE Faculty List] Student travel support for IISE Annual Conference and Expo 2025

Dear colleagues,

We are excited to share the opportunity of student travel award for the IISE annual conference this year. 

This award will partially support students interested in industrial engineering research and careers to participate in the 2025 Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Annual Conference and Expo to be held May 31 - June 3, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. This award will support students' conference registration fees and partially support travel/lodging costs to promote student participation at the conference, especially among students from groups often underrepresented in engineering. The selection process of the awardees will prioritize students who do not otherwise have sufficient funds from other sources (e.g., academic advisor/research advisor, department, other travel awards) to attend the conference. Through this award, a special professional development plan will be developed for students to ensure they benefit from participating in the conference. 

The main objectives of this plan are to: 1) involve more students as future workforce for Industrial and Systems Engineering, 2) support researchers to learn more about funding opportunities in this field, 3) support students as future faculty through networking and facilitating new collaborations, 4) expand participation and promote diversity and inclusion in IISE to include a broader audience.

To qualify for the award, you must (no exceptions): 
1) Reside and be enrolled in a university in the United States.
2) Have strong research and education interests in industrial engineering research and careers.
3) Attend the three-day conference and participate in the technical sessions and other events set by the award organizing committee (those events will be shared with awardees in the award notification).
