Description: The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University of Missouri-Columbia seeks an energetic, dynamic Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Industrial Engineering. The new faculty member will join a diverse team that is actively pursuing new frontiers in engineering education and research in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.

Candidates with backgrounds in applied statistics, operations research, data analytics, and artificial intelligence are encouraged to apply.  Highly desirable are candidates who can teach broadly across the breadth of industrial engineering topics and have some prior experience working on industry-based projects in order to support the department's industry-based Capstone Design courses.  In addition to teaching, the candidate will have opportunities to mentor students, serve on graduate student committees, and participate in education-focused research projects.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering or related field by the start date.  Successful candidates will possess outstanding communication and teamwork skills, be able to demonstrate the application of innovative teaching methods, have evidence of teaching effectiveness in engineering, and be committed to student success.

Position: This is a multi-year, nine-month contract appointment with the potential for summer courses and renewal at the discretion of the University. The starting date is anticipated to be August 15, 2025. This role is eligible for future promotion.
