Job Description
The Logistics and Distribution Institute is a multi-disciplinary and applications-oriented logistics research institute. LoDI has affiliations with faculty from departments within the Speed School of Engineering as well as the School of Public Health and Information Systems, the College of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, Kent School of Social Work, and the School of Medicine. LoDI has two thrust areas Logistics and Supply Chain Analytics (LSCA) and Healthcare Analytics and Logistics (HCAL). The Post-doctoral fellow will demonstrate record of success to grow our research proposal portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be supervised by faculty members primarily on research in the area of HCAL and health equity.
Some of the responsibilities include:

  *   Lead or work with LoDI members on HCAL and health equity analysis
  *   Work with stakeholders and other non-LoDI members
  *   Prepare high-quality manuscripts
  *   Disseminate research results through various means (conferences, workshops etc.)
  *   Lead or work with faculty members on proposals
  *   Maintain timely documentation of research work for all projects to ensure reproducibility
  *   Co-advise undergraduate or graduate students on research

Preferred Qualifications

  *   Strong programming skills (MATLAB, Python, R, or others)
  *   Solid background in optimization and probability and statistics
  *   Publications in relevant top-tier journals and conference proceedings
  *   Strong communication, presentation and documentation skills; and ambition to become a leader in the relevant fields (e.g., professor or senior research positions in a company or national lab)
