The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at Georgia Tech is organizing a one-day Junior Researcher Workshop on April 19, 2024. We are soliciting applications from Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers who would be interested in participating in the workshop! The website for the workshop is available here:

Our goal is to broaden participation in research and increase ties between junior researchers from diverse backgrounds and Georgia Tech ISyE. The workshop will provide opportunities for researchers to learn about and interact with Georgia Tech ISyE, with each other, and to present their research and learn new skills. The workshop, in particular, will be comprised of:

  *   Presentations, lightning talks, and/or posters by participants that are accepted to the workshop;

  *   Mentorship, where small groups of participants will be matched with a faculty mentor and can ask questions about academia, research, the job market, etc.;

  *   “How to” talks/Skill sessions to help develop skills useful in research and on the job market

  *   Roundtable discussions about topics of interest to the participants

Note that we can only support a limited number of participants and financial support is not guaranteed. If you believe you will be able to attend without requiring support on our end, please indicate this on the form.

Important Dates:

  *   Deadline to apply: February 2nd, 2024

  *   Funding and participation decisions: March 10th, 2023.

  *   Workshop: in person, April 19, 2024
