Colleagues,

The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University invites applications for three tenure track faculty positions members in the fields of a) computer vision; b) integrated robotics; and c) biosensors/sensors. Of particular interest to the IE/OR community, the initiative's research focus areas include integrated systems engineering and optimization, cyber-physical systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Faculty members hired under this initiative will join the engineering department to which they are best suited. Faculty who identify the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department as their primary department will join a team that is highly engaged in interdisciplinary scholarship, with recognized expertise in advanced manufacturing, operations research, and systems engineering.

Candidates may glean further information about these positions here: faculty position description/application<https://careers.k-state.edu/cw/en-us/job/516484/assistantassociatefull-professor-positions-engineeringcomputer-science>. I would love to have some of these new hires be part of the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering faculty! Please encourage your Ph.D. candidates working in related fields to apply. Furthermore, if they let me know that they have applied I will certainly advocate on their behalf.
