Esteemed colleagues,
As we approach the 60th anniversary of the Roy Report, it seems appropriate to once again think about how contemporary undergraduate curricula respond to the evolving needs of our profession and best prepare our students for future success.
To that end, I would be very interested in and grateful for your responses to a very short survey. This should not take more than a few minutes of your time. Please send your responses directly to me at leon.mcginnis at isye.gatech.edu, and I will send each respondent a summary of the findings prior to the Annual Conference in Montreal.
Question: Please identify three or more key industrial and systems engineering principles, methods, or tools that you think every industrial and systems engineering undergraduate should be exposed to and/or master prior to graduation because they clearly distinguish the graduate as an industrial and systems engineer. A brief (2-3 sentence) rationale for each choice would be helpful but not absolutely essential.
Thank you in advance to all who will respond!
--Leon
