I am delighted to let you know that Clemson IE is hosting an REU site this coming summer. The projects are at the intersection of operations research, human factors, and the social sciences. Details are below - please feel free to pass them along to your undergraduate students.

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University will host an NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in Summer 2025. This 10-week summer research program will focus on problems at the intersection of humans, systems, and analytics. We call this approach H-CORE: Human-Centered Operations Research and Engineering.

Our aim is to prepare students to conduct interdisciplinary, human-centered research to address complex social and technological problems. If you are a current sophomore or junior in any STEM-related discipline, we invite you to apply.
