The Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE)

would like to invite your students to our Graduate Visitation Program
(costs covered) this fall.
Please share the information below with your students. We are accepting
applications until September 23th, 2023 at 5pm eastern. Participant
selection will be based on a first come, first serve basis, with priority
given to students closer to graduation. Please do not hesitate to contact

Greetings from the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems
Engineering <https://www.ise.ncsu.edu/> (ISE) at North Carolina State
University (NC State)!
This fall, we are offering a free, on-campus visitation event to allow
students like you to learn more about the ISE and OR Graduate Programs at
NC State. Our Graduate Visitation Program is designed to offer prospective
graduate students an opportunity to learn more about the NC State campus
through a series of meetings with faculty and current students, campus
information presentations, and lab tours to learn about current research,
and to experience the quality of our ISE and OR graduate programs over a
series of three days. There will be fun and interactive events with current
students, faculty and future students!
ISE / OR Graduate Visitation Program

learn about ISE and OR at NC State. Interested students should submit an
application.
How to Apply: Use this link https://forms.gle/foU2b73YtM1jnLXZA. You will
be asked to provide some information about yourself, an unofficial school
transcript, and a statement about your interest in ISE and/or OR graduate
programs (<1 page). Participant selection will be based on a rolling basis,
with a deadline of September 23th, 2023.
When: Events will take place over three days, from October 19th through
October 21th.

Description
Meet ISE / OR
You will meet ISE department head Dr Julie Swann, ISE Director of Graduate
Program Dr. Russell King, and Director of the OR program Dr. Maria Mayorga.
We will introduce the programs to you and you will gain further insights
about ISE and OR.
Tour FWH
Students will be introduced to faculty in our department and get a look
into the facilities in which they conduct their research
Research Meet & Greet
Here you will be able to personally interact with faculty in different
focus areas to learn more about their research, as well as with our current
graduate students
Application Strategies
You will hear from our graduate program to get the upper hand on how to
apply to graduate school and what our graduate school looks like.
Interact with the Pack
You may meet various alumni to really see how unique ISE / OR truly is as
well as meet our student ambassadors to get a peek into what it's like to
be a student at NC State University
Get to know Raleigh
You will be able to join us for a fun outing to get to know what Raleigh
has to offer!
I hope you will consider joining us as you think about the next phase in
your education. Our department is committed to diversifying the graduate
programs and we especially encourage students with all engineering or
STEM-related backgrounds to apply.
