The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) seeks applications for open-rank, tenured or tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor faculty candidates with research interests broadly in the area of supply chain resilience.

Appointments will be primarily or fully in MIE. This position has potential for both joint cross-department appointments and joint cross-college appointments in the College of Science, Khoury College of Computer Science, College of Social Sciences and Humanities, College of Arts Media and Design, Bouvé College of Health Sciences, and D’Amore-McKim School of Business.

We are seeking faculty candidates with research interests and expertise on any of a set of broadly defined areas relevant to supply chain resilience, including but not limited to:

  *   Supply chain modeling and optimization
  *   AI/data science methodologies for supply chain problems
  *   Sustainability
  *   Design and operations of socio-technical systems
  *   Mitigating risks, preparing, and responding to disruptions in networked systems
  *   Discrete, dynamic and stochastic optimization
  *   Quantitative and analytical methods for policy and regulation
