[WSC 2023 Keynote & Plenary Speakers]
Winter Simulation Conference 2023 will be held December 10-13 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter with a superb line-up of keynote and titan speakers. Ann Dunkin, Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy, will give the opening keynote talk on “Modeling for Energy Resilience: How Department of Energy Uses Simulation to Model and Manage Everything from the Power Grid to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve”.
In the “Titans of Simulations” plenary talks, there are two excellent speakers: Dr. John Fowler, Motorola Professor of Supply Chain Management at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and Dr. Enver Yucesan, Professor of Information Management at INSEAD. Dr. Fowler will give a talk on “Resilience of Supply Chains and the Role of Simulation”, and Dr. Yucesan will give a talk on “Ensuring Food Security under Climate Change: How Simulation Can Help in Making Agricultural Supply Chains More Resilient?”
WSC 2023 incorporates the Modeling and Analysis of Semiconductor Manufacturing (MASM) as a conference-within-a-conference. MASM features a keynote by Hans Ehm, Senior Principal Supply Chain at the Infineon Technologies AG, on “Simulation, Optimization and AI for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Supply Chains: Four Decades of Progress and a Vision for the Future”.
Our military keynote speaker is Dr. Imre Balogh, Research Associate Professor and Director of the MOVES Institute at the Naval Postgraduate School and the New Mexico State University. He will speak about “Creating Live Virtual Constructive Environments to Evaluate Human and System Resilience”.
Dr. Stephen E. Chick, Professor of Technology and Operations Management and Novartis Chair of Healthcare Management at INSEAD will deliver the PhD colloquium keynote: “Methods and Applications or Applications and Methods?”
