Dear Member of the Industrial Engineering community,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Sinan Onal, and I am an
Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering
at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

I am reaching out to you today to request your help in distributing this
message to individuals in your network who may be interested in
participating in a research study focused on understanding how students
utilize ChatGPT for academic purposes. The study, titled “Understanding
College Students’ Perspectives on ChatGPT Usage and its Impact on Academic
Performance and Confidence”, has received approval from the SIUE
Institutional Review Board under protocol number “2285”.

The survey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please
rest assured that responses will be kept confidential and will be used
solely for research purposes.
