Workshop: Recognizing and Reinforcing Entrepreneurial Mindset in ISE Practice
Industry expectations of engineering graduates are increasingly expanding with the changing times. Employers look for knowledge and skills beyond discipline-specific technical competencies. Having inquisitive thinking and a desire to learn, an ability to see relationships and how things fit together and be able to use these qualities in identifying opportunities and creating value in any context, are a few of the attributes associated with an Entrepreneurial Mindset (EM). This workshop will introduce participants to EM concepts and terminology and provide them with resources to help them identify ways to reinforce EM in ISE practice. In the interactive part of the workshop, participants will work in small groups on integrating EM elements into a course of their choice. To get the most out of this session, participants are asked to bring a laptop computer.
