[IISE Faculty List] Final Call for 2023 INFORMS Annual Data Mining Session Chairs

The INFORMS Data Mining Society (DMS) is delighted to invite you to
organize a session at the INFORMS 2023 Annual Meeting! The meeting will be
held October 15-18, 2023 at
the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency in Phoenix, AZ, USA. You
can check out the INFORMS 2023 website

If you are interested to organize a session in the 2023 INFORMS Annual
Meeting, please send an email to informs.dms at gmail.com with the following
information by April 11, 2023.

·       Tentative title of your planned session

·       A short abstract to describe the session topic briefly (within 100
words)

·       Four tentative speakers (if you have difficulty to confirm 4
speakers, the DM Society may work with you to fill the session with related
talks that match your session topic).



We will review your session proposal and create a session for you in the
system. You will then receive an email with detailed instructions to invite
and enter presenters in your session. Technical sessions will last 75
minutes (as opposed to 90 minutes as before), which is intented for 4 talks
of 15 minutes + Q&A. Note that INFORMS limits speakers to ONE PRESENTATION
at the Annual meeting. Each presenter may present only one talk in the
Annual Meeting, but can be listed as co-author on multiple talks. As a
session chair, you can organize or co-chair more than one session. We look
for your active participation and hope you can organize a session at the
2022 INFORMS Annual Meeting. Below are the important deadlines:

·       April 11: Deadline to indicate interest of being a Session Chair
(with title/abstract)

·       May 2: Deadline for Session Chairs to submit Presenters

·       May 16: Deadline for Presenters to submit abstracts

·       Aug 1: Deadline for Presenter’s to register for INFORMS



If you have any questions regarding the session organization, just let me
know. We also welcome your referrals of anyone who may be interested to
organize a session in the DM cluster in INFORMS 2023.
