This email has Abstract submission deadline extension information, the call for abstracts which include introducing the new Practitioner and Industry Track, and important dates.
New Abstract Submission Deadline: March 13, 2023

Due to multiple requests and to provide some more time for submission to our new Practitioner and Industry Track, the abstract submissions deadline is extended to March 13, 2023. Other deadlines remain the same. Please see the call for abstracts below for other important dates.

Call for Abstracts

The abstract submission for 2023 International Annual Conference of American Society for Engineering Management is now open. The 2023 conference theme is "Climbing Higher with Engineering Management", given that we will be in the mile high city.

The ASEM International Annual Conference is a present-to-publish conference. All papers submitted will be subject to double-blind peer-review. Authors can choose between presentation-only or paper-submission. The topics for ASEM IAC are as follow:

  *   Engineering Management Technical Tracks:
     *   Leadership and organizational management
     *   Strategic planning
     *   Financial resource planning
     *   Project and program management
     *   Operations, quality, and supply chain management
     *   Management of technology, research and development
     *   Systems science and engineering (pertaining to engineering management)
     *   Legal issues in engineering management
     *   Professional codes of conduct and ethics
     *   Engineering management education, skills, and profession
     *   Marketing and sales management in engineering organization
     *   Emerging areas of EM such as critical infrastructure, energy systems, healthcare, decision analysis, safety science, entrepreneurship and innovation, data analytics, machine learning, etc.
  *   NEW! Practitioner and Industry Track: This track provides an opportunity to highlight key insights and new application challenges that arise from real world implementations of engineering management practice and theory. Papers should include thorough and detailed descriptions of activities that have implications for practicing managers, for education, and research of emerging and current engineering management issues. Topics can include, but are not limited to:
     *   Best practices and lessons learned in engineering and technical management, Personnel management practice including ethics and bias in engineering management
     *   Continuous support and improvement of deployed systems, Improvement in implementation at speed, scale, and low-cost, Life cycle analysis from design to deployment and retirement
     *   Case studies
     *   Handling unexpected events and behavior, including risk management methods, Negative results related to real-world applications, Testing or implementing novel or previously unsolved engineering management problems
     *   Insights on the practice of engineering management that provoke practitioner level discussions on application and implementation or expand and challenge the practice and methodologies of the engineering management discipline.

Note: Papers in the Practitioner and Industry Track will be peer-reviewed through a separate peer-review process with review criteria and standards for application-based papers. Papers submitted to the Practitioner and Industry Track will be included in the conference proceedings as a separate category of papers from the Technical Track papers.
Important Dates

  *   March 13, 2023 - Abstract submission system closes - Extended Deadline!
     *   Abstracts for technical presentations (required for both paper-submission and presentation-only)
     *   Abstracts for workshops, panels, tutorials, and special sessions.
  *   March 27, 2023 - Abstract acceptance notification
  *   May 30, 2023 - Deadline for:
     *   Paper submission for double-blinded peer review (Optional if presentation-only work)
     *   Completed proposal for workshops, panels, and tutorials
  *   July 10, 2023 - Paper acceptance notification
  *   July 24, 2023 - Final (camera-ready) papers submission (reviewer comments must be addressed)
  *   August 7, 2023 - Final paper acceptance notification
  *   August 21, 2023 - Presenting author registration deadline (Papers/presentations will be removed from schedule if at least one author not registered)
  *   September 11, 2023 - Preliminary Technical Presentation schedule published
