Call for Nominations
Series Editor, INFORMS TutORials in Operations Research
Deadline for Nominations: April 1, 2023
Douglas Shier will be stepping down as series editor for the INFORMS TutORials in Operations Research series on December 31, 2023. Based on recommendations from the INFORMS Publications Committee, the president of INFORMS has appointed a committee to conduct a full search for a new series editor. The committee intends to propose a candidate for approval by INFORMS no later than June 1, 2023.
All members of INFORMS are invited to participate in this process. The committee seeks your opinions and comments on (1) the current state of the TutORials Series, (2) recommendations for change, if any, and (3) candidates for series editor.
Qualifications for the series editor will include
* A demonstrated interest in a broad range of topics in the field
* A demonstrated record of research in the field
* Dedication and enthusiasm for INFORMS TutORials in OR
* Significant editorial experience
* Vision of the role of scholarly publications in the electronic and open-access age
* Commitment to the workload involved
* Ability to effectively and efficiently manage the editorial process

Members of the search committee are Esra Buyuktahtakin Toy (Virginia Tech), Joseph Geunes (Texas A&M University, committee chair), Michael Johnson (UMass Boston and INFORMS Publications Committee Liaison), Alexandra Newman (Colorado School of Mines), Amy Pan (University of Florida), and Matthew Walls (INFORMS Director, Publications).
Please submit comments, recommendations, and nominations (including self-nominations) by April 1, 2023. The information may be sent (preferably by email) to the chair of the INFORMS TutORials in OR Editorial Search Committee:
