[IISE Faculty List] Call for Nominations for IISE M&D Best Student Paper Award and Best Track Paper Award

Dear Colleagues,

The Manufacturing & Design (M&D) Division of the Institute of Industrial &
Systems Engineers (IISE) invites you to submit nominations for the
following 2023 Annual Conference M&D paper awards:

-                      Best Student Paper Award

-                      Best Track Paper Award

The IISE M&D Division sponsors both awards to recognize outstanding M&D
contributions to the Annual Conference Proceedings and are presented in the
M&D Track during the annual conference.  The winners will be recognized at
the conference during the M&D Town Hall meeting with a certificate, on
social media and in the M&D newsletter.

*ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BOTH AWARDS**­*

-          The lead author must be registered to attend the annual
conference by February 10, 2023.

-          The full paper must be submitted into the conference submission
system by February 10, 2023 for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

-          The work must be clearly distinct from any works:

o   Submitted by any of the authors for another award in the M&D Division,
other IISE division or societies during the current year.

o   Previously published by the authors.

*ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: IISE M&D Best Student Paper Award (BSPA)*

-          The “eligibility criteria for both awards” must be met.

-          The lead author must:

o   Be a student member of IISE and the M&D Division when the paper is
submitted.

o   Continue to be a member of both until the paper topic is presented at
the conference.

-          The lead author has not won the BSPA during the previous two
years.

-          The faculty member who oversaw the work shall complete the
nomination form and email it to Dr. Chaitanya Mahajan, PhD (
cmahajan at kettering.edu) and Mr. David Vance, PE (vancecd at mail.uc.edu).  The
email must be sent by 10 Feb, 2023.

*­ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: IISE M&D Best Track Paper Award (BTPA)*

-          The “eligibility criteria for both awards” must be met.

-          The lead author must:

o   Be a member of both IISE and the M&D Division when the paper is
submitted.

o   Continue to be a member of both until the paper topic is presented at
the conference.

-          The lead author has not won the BTPA Award during the previous
two years.

*NOTES FOR BOTH AWARDS**:*

-          Papers nominated for the BSPA are ineligible for the BTPA.

-          Nominated paper topics must be presented in-person at the IISE
Annual Conference.  Failure to do so can result in revocation of the award.

either award.
