[IISE Faculty List] New simulation library and textbook

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to announce the release of a new Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook<https://rossetti.github.io/KSLBook/> and simulation library<https://github.com/rossetti/KSL>.  The new textbook is similar to my Arena textbook<https://rossetti.github.io/RossettiArenaBook/> and uses a programming language call Kotlin<https://kotlinlang.org/>.  Kotlin has co-routines and those in the simulation community should know that co-routines facilitates the process-view modeling paradigm.

You can access the new textbook here<https://rossetti.github.io/KSLBook/>.   The software library is also open-source and can be found here<https://github.com/rossetti/KSL>.  Instructions for using the software are found on the repository page and within the textbook

I’ve very excited about the possibilities of this new language platform.  In my opinion, the library is competitive with commercial offerings (except for animation).
