Hi, everyone!
Happy new year! James Howard and I are excited to share that CRC Press has greenlit a second edition of Handbook of Military and Defense Operations Research! The first edition was released in 2020, and we anticipate a 2024 release date for the second edition.
The book is organized into four sections: Approaches, Soft Skills and Client Relations, Applications, and Perspectives.

More about the handbook: https://www.drnataliescala.com/books
We are seeking up to 4 new chapters for this edition. Chapters should illustrate the application of operations research and analytics techniques within the military, national defense, and homeland security sectors. We envision this book aiding educators who teach military and defense applications, especially at service academies, as well as practitioners transitioning into military and defense analyst roles. Discussions of how client projects or research can be applied or implemented are also of value to this audience. Even a discussion on soft skills and scoping the defense problem space can be of value.
Our deadline for abstracts is January 20, 2023. I hope you consider submitting a proposal, using this link: http://bit.ly/MDORAbstracts<http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FMDORAbstracts&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHWVlVUwFOVIlvlGsghNRP192wVOA>
Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss your idea. Thanks!
-Natalie and James
