[IISE Faculty List] Reminder: Call for Participation: IISE QCRE Student Introduction and Interaction Session & Best Student Poster Competition

This is a reminder about the 2023 QCRE student poster and interaction session. We had a successful session last year, and this is a great opportunity for students to network with peers and faculty members. We highly recommend our student members to participate and faculty members to encourage their students to participate. We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans!

The Quality Control & Reliability Engineering (QCRE) Track of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) is inviting QCRE student members to participate in the Student Introduction and Interaction Session and the Best Student Poster Competition at the IISE Annual Conference 2023.

Student Introduction and Interaction Session: The Student Introduction and Interaction Session is designed for QCRE student members to build their professional network, show up their talents, and learn from invited guests. In this session, each student will be given ~2-3 minutes to deliver a brief speech about their research interests and accomplishments. This will be followed by a mini panel discussion where panelists will discuss QCRE opportunities for students, job market preparation (academia vs. industry), and interact with the attendees. For this session, the number of participants will be capped at around 20 due to the limited capacity.



Best Student Poster Competition: The Best Student Poster Competition will be held right after the student introduction and interaction session, wherein students will be given the opportunity to display their research posters.

A winner will be selected by a panel of judges and awarded a certificate.

Additional Information: Participation in these two sessions is free of charge. Please note that students can participate in either one or both sessions. Students who participated before are welcome to participate again. Students who are on the job market and/or have poster presentations will be given higher priority. Prior to the conference, the participants will be asked to submit their poster and a high-resolution self-portrait photo electronically. The participants are required to bring their physical posters to the conference. The photo and poster will be included in a brochure for maximal visibility, which will be distributed to Department chairs and employers who have interest in recruiting QCRE students.
