The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics (SCMA) in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is recruiting to fill multiple fully-funded Graduate Research Assistantship positions for the Fall 2024 semester.
The assistantships are offered to students admitted to Nebraska's Ph.D. in Business with specialization in Supply Chain Management and Analytics program. It provides students with valuable hands-on experience and opportunities to work one-on-one with faculty on their research, with the goal of publishing journal articles that will enhance their post-graduate career opportunities as university faculty or researchers.
Qualified candidates receive a competitive stipend and are considered for additional fellowships. Graduate assistants are eligible for tuition remission of up to 12 credit hours per semester as well as basic individual student health insurance during the academic year. The university subsidizes a significant proportion of the student health insurance premium.
Application Information
Students with higher education degrees in business, engineering, mathematics or any other relevant field with a strong math background can apply for the SCMA Ph.D. program. Students must have completed the following courses at their previous institution of higher education: calculus, linear algebra, statistics and intermediate microeconomics. In some cases, deficiencies in prerequisites can be addressed after admission to the Ph.D. program but prior to enrollment. SCMA Ph.D. students who possess a relevant MS, MBA or other master's degree in business or other relevant fields may transfer up to 21 credit hours of master's-level coursework.
Apply online by January 15 for fall enrollment. Applications must include a statement of purpose, professional resume, three letters of recommendation, academic transcripts and a GMAT or GRE score. International students will need to submit a TOEFL score.
