Hello Everyone:



How are you doing?

I am sharing this upcoming change in status for my official positions in
the college of Business here.  I call this change of status as I will still
be around doing all the things that we all love to do professionally and
personally except that (1) I will not be on the payroll; and (2) I do not
have to do anything as a “must do” activity in the college.

I hate the term “retire” as in my mind it relates to “re-tire” and I don’t
know how one can be “re-tired” once being “tired.”

I will still be active professionally as I do not think that academicians
ever really retire.



I invite you and your wife to the following event being organized by my
College or any part of it including the reception in the evening.



*Symposium in Honor of Dr. Jatinder (Jeet) Gupta*



The College of Business at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is
honoring Dr. Jeet Gupta for his academic contributions and his professional
career spanning over half a century. They are organizing a symposium, and
invite submission of papers and proposals for presentations and panels. The
symposium will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 on the UAH campus. The
symposium coincides with Dr. Gupta’s retirement at the end of Fall 2022,
and his 80th birthday this year. A reception/dinner will also take place. A
block of rooms have been reserved at the AC Hotel in downtown Huntsville,
with transportation provided between the hotel and campus for the event.
