Northeastern’s Mechanical and Industrial Engineering department has several tenured and tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate, and full professor levels aligned with one or more interdisciplinary research themes, including: Sustainability and Resilience (e.g. supply chain resilience and resilient communities); Health & Technology Data (e.g. healthcare technologies and systems enabled by AI); Modeling; Extraordinary Human Computer Interaction; Food, Water, Energy Nexus; and Technology, Digital Economies, and Privacy (e.g. AI and the future of work). Individuals whose interests and backgrounds are at the intersection of Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Data Analytics are encouraged to apply.
