Dear Professor,

On behalf of the Department of Systems Engineering and Operations Research at George Mason University, I invite student design teams in your department (undergraduate and master's level) to participate in the 6th Annual Andrew P. Sage Memorial Capstone Design Competition (SMDC-23). The conference will be held at our Fairfax campus and online on Monday, April 17, 2023. The Sage Competition is a student-focused forum for the design of complex systems and a leading showcase for undergraduate and graduate (master's) design projects.

The important dates related to the conference are as follows:
              Paper Abstract Due                                     Feb. 24, 2023
              Registration & Fee Payment                      Mar. 17, 2023
              Final Paper Due                                            Apr. 10, 2023
              Day of Competition                                     Apr. 17, 2023

Abstracts should be 300-1000 words and concisely summarize the project. Please visit the conference website and the call for papers link for instructions for abstract submission. The abstract should be entered in plain text in the space provided. Please save the file attachment for submission of the final paper on or before April 10.
