Dear IE community:
I am sending out a workshop email and flyer announcement for the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2022. If you have students or collaborators who are doing research on "printing electronics" or "quality assurance for electronics", feel free to invite them to the workshop.

The workshop is free to all participants. If any workshop participant wants to register IISE Annual Conference 2022, they will be qualified to receive an "early registration rate" at any time. Students can compete for poster awards (cash prize). A special University of Washington - Seattle Campus Tour will be offered to all workshop participants.

Thank you! We wish such a workshop format (in various IE topics beyond manufacturing and design) can be continued in the upcoming years. Your participation this year will be important for the organizing team, as evidence of broader participation, to apply for future student travel supports and sponsor students to attend IISE annual conferences.

Dear Colleagues:
We are glad to announce that a one-day workshop, entitled “Advanced Manufacturing of Flexible Electronics and Nondestructive Testing for Quality Assurance”, will be hosted on Saturday, May 21, 2022, as part of the IISE Annual Conference and Expo 2022 agenda. The workshop is generously sponsored and organized by the University of Washington, Iowa State University, University of Wisconsin – Madison, and SEMI-FlexTech.
Feel free to forward this email and flyer to other email lists and anyone who may be interested.
A tentative workshop schedule is below:
(7:30-2:30 at Hyatt Regency Seattle, 2:30-4 at UW Campus)

  *   7:30-9: Setup and Networking
  *   9-10:30: Opening Talk
     *   Dr. Hantang Qin from Iowa State University
     *   Dr. J. Devin MacKenzie from the University of Washington – Seattle
  *   10:30-12: Invited talks and workforce discussions
     *   North Carolina State University - Dr. Jingyan Dong, Professor
     *   University of Mississippi - Dr. Yiwei Han, Assistant Professor
     *   University of Iowa - Dr. Xuan Song, Assistant Professor
  *   12-1:30: Lunch & student poster competition with a cash prize
     *   Poster competition: 1st Place – cash award of $500; 2nd Place – cash award of $300, 3rd Place – cash award of $200
  *   1:30-2:30: Invited panel section (funding agency managers, IBM, ABB DOE institute stakeholders, industry collaborators, etc. Details to be announced in the next email)
  *   2:30-4: Campus tour of UW-Seattle and UW-Clean Energy Institute

The workshop is at no cost for participants, but pre-registration is required. Please register through this website by 04/15/2022. After registration, you will be notified with more detailed workshop information.
