The Advanced Data Engineering Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join their research team. The position is supported by multiple research grants from the AFOSR, DHS, and CPS to investigate advanced methods of machine learning and data analytics for complex expensive testing.

Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields with a strong background in machine learning and data analytics. Good communication and writing skills along with a strong programming foundation are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in deep learning including geometric neural networks, physics-informed machine learning, and active learning. Skills in high-performance and/or cloud computing would be a plus. Salary is competitive based on qualification. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of an extension for additional years.

The postdoctoral will have the opportunity to work with collaborators at the Air Force, DHS, and CPS.
