Dear Friends and Colleagues –

This summer and fall term we are searching for a new faculty member to join our department, preferably at the rank of associate professor and with tenure.
The opening that we have is broad in potential ISE methods and applications, including:

  *   Production, logistics and supply chain systems;
  *   Manufacturing, advanced manufacturing or additive/subtractive manufacturing systems;
  *   Human systems engineering; and
  *   Health systems engineering.

There is also a need for any applicant to have interest/experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) tools to complex problems in an identified area.

This position is intended to advance ISE contributions to the UF “AI University” Initiative. We are seeking a candidate that has the potential to collaborate with AI researchers in other departments at UF, including Computer & Information Science & Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering, as well our institutes in computational engineering, cybersecurity, national security, transportation and other centers (https://www.eng.ufl.edu/research/centers-institutes/ ). Outstanding candidates for the position will be considered for our available endowed appointments (faculty fellowships and/or professorships).

Per the ad (attached), our search committee is reviewing applications at this time and the first full committee screening and selection for phone/Zoom interviews will occur on September 1. The anticipated start date for the position is January 1, 2023
