Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As the directors of student engagement of the IISE Operations Research
Division, we would like to invite you and your IISE student chapter to
contribute to our IISE OR Podcast series. The purpose of the podcast series
is to offer some insights into OR-related research and educational
activities for existing and potential IISE student members.



Each podcast will take the form of a 10 to 15-minute conversational
interview between students, faculty, or alumni in industrial and systems
engineering, and ideally in operation research. The interview can be
conducted and recorded via Zoom, and the audio segments of which will be
used for the podcast series. There is no limitation on the content of the
interview, but here are some sample questions:


   - Please tell us about yourself
   - How did your journey in OR begin?
   - What are your research interests?
   - How would you explain your research to an undergraduate IISE student
   who is looking into doing research?
   - What are the technical OR skills that you think an IISE student should
   have?
   - What are the non-technical skills that you think an IISE student
   should have?
   - What are you most excited about in the IISE profession?


Once a podcast is finalized with all parties involved, it will be published
as an episode in our IISE OR Podcast Series on Spotify. The website link to
the podcast series will be shared with all IISE members through the IISE
Member Digest, the IISE OR division website, and appropriate social media.
