[Iefac.list] Call for IISE OR Division Undergraduate Student Research Dissemination Award

Dear Colleagues,


Do you know an undergraduate student performing Operations Research related work? Please encourage them to submit their work for the Operations Research Division Undergraduate Student Research Dissemination Award, a competition held annually at the IISE Annual Conference.


The purpose of the award is to recognize scholarly work and the ability to effectively communicate results from an undergraduate student or student team. The application process will consist of a paper followed by a presentation. The first author of the paper must be an undergraduate student at the time of submission, and though the work may contain faculty authors, it must be predominantly the work of a student or student team. Graduate student co-authors are encouraged. The paper must present original research, the research must have been conducted while the applicant was a student, and the paper must not have won or been considered for an award in another competition.


The application process will follow the timeline of the IISE Annual Conference. Abstracts are due by November 1st, 2021, and the paper submission is due by January 20th, 2022. Applicants must also email their abstract ID and title to the OR Division Awards Director, Sharan Srinivas (srinivassh at missouri.edu<mailto:srinivassh at missouri.edu>), stating that they wish to be considered for the competition. More competition details will be sent once their abstract is accepted.
