[Iefac.list] IISE Transactions Focused Issue on Data Science, Quality and Reliability

Dear Colleagues:

To better reflect current research interests and opportunities, the IISE Transactions Focused Issue on Quality and Reliability Engineering has now been renamed as the IISE Transactions Focused Issue on Data Science, Quality and Reliability (DSQR). While the previous focused issue accommodated papers with a general data science orientation, the name change expresses the broader scope envisioned for the focused issue's future. As Focused Issue Editor, Judy Jin will take the lead in expanding the journal more fully into the area of Data Science, including adding topics such as Data Analytics and Machine Learning explicitly into the department structure. Along with Professor Jin, I would like to thank Editor-in-Chief Yu Ding for taking the lead in initiating this update in the journal's scope. On behalf of the Institute and Editorial Board, I invite you to submit your Data Science research to the journal for publication consideration and encourage you to follow the journal for the latest research advancements in this evolving field.
