Dear Colleagues,

I hope this email finds you well and you are staying healthy and safe.

I want to draw your attention to the Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (SMO) Special Issue on "Advanced Optimization Enabling Digital Twin Technology" (see the attached Special Issue description). This special issue is intended to include original, high-quality work on advanced optimization enabling the digital twin technology. Applications of interest include model-based product design, virtual design validation, smart manufacturing, structural health monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

Important Dates
February 15, 2022: Deadline for paper submission
March 31, 2022: Completion of first-round reviews
May 15, 2022: Deadline for revised paper submission
June 30, 2022: Final decision notification (tentative)
