The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering<https://www.ohio.edu/engineering/ise> at Ohio University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Instruction at the main campus in Athens, Ohio. The department will consider applicants for starting in January 2022 or August 2022.

Responsibilities for the position include teaching on-campus ISE students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and also teaching online courses in our Master of Engineering Management Program.

Minimum qualifications for this position include a master's degree in industrial engineering or closely related field by the time of the appointment. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional teaching ability and must be capable of teaching multiple topics within the fields of industrial engineering and engineering management. The candidate must have previous experience teaching at the college level in industrial engineering or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have professional industry experience. A Ph.D. in industrial engineering or a closely related field is also preferred. The ideal candidate will also have experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods and will have knowledge of engineering pedagogy and best practices in engineering education.
