Subject: Announcing ASME MSEC Poster Session and Doctoral Symposium

The Manufacturing Engineering Division (MED) of ASME and the North American Manufacturing Research Institution of SME are pleased to co-sponsor the 2021 International Manufacturing Science & Engineering Conference (MSEC) and the 49th North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC). The respective virtual conferences will be hosted by the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science on June 21-25, 2021.

- All students with ongoing research are encouraged to submit a poster through the MSEC website for review by March 1, 2021. Due to the pandemic, student research may have been delayed and not ready for reporting in a full conference paper. The MSEC poster session will be a good venue to share and highlight ongoing student research. It will also be a valuable experience for students to get feedback from the research community. Posters will be presented virtually.

- All Ph.D. students who will graduate soon (and recently graduated doctoral students) are encouraged to submit an abstract and biography through the MSEC website for review by March 1, 2021. Due to the pandemic, the students have had difficulty traveling and networking. This new Doctoral Symposium will provide a forum for Ph.D. students to showcase their dissertation research. The symposium will also provide academic and industrial attendees an opportunity to identify excellent candidates for job openings targeting Ph.D. graduates in advanced manufacturing.
