The A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical, Robotics and Industrial
Engineering (MRIE) at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor
level. The starting date will be August 2021, or as soon as possible
thereafter. Review of the applications will commence upon receipt and
continue until the position is filled. The successful candidate will hold a
Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, or a closely related
field. The Applicants preferred are those who have a strong commitment to
teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels and the
ability to establish and conduct independent research. Candidates with
expertise in the area of manufacturing systems, industrial automation,
human factors, ergonomics, work design and product life cycle management are
preferred.



Lawrence Tech is a selective, focused university with Colleges of
Architecture & Design, Arts & Sciences, Engineering, and Business and
Information Technology. Of these, Engineering is the oldest and largest,
enrolling approximately *1,100* undergraduate and *500* graduate students.
The College includes five departments: civil and architectural, electrical
and computer, mechanical-robotics-industrial, biomedical, and technology.
Over a third of LTU’s students enroll in evening programs, and the College
serves both full-time and part-time students. The University enjoys strong
ties with many industries headquartered in the region and is expanding
graduate service, and applied research programs.



Lawrence Technological University’s A. Leon Linton Department of
Mechanical, Robotics and Industrial Engineering has 16 full-time faculty
and enrolls approximately *200* graduate and close to  *400 *undergraduate
students.  The department offers the following degrees: B.S. Mechanical
Engineering, B.S. Industrial Engineering, B.S. Robotics Engineering, M.S.
Mechanical Engineering, M.S. Automotive Engineering, M.S. Mechatronic
Systems Engineering, Master of Engineering Management, M.S. Industrial
Engineering, Doctor of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems, and a Ph.D. in
Mechanical Engineering.
