The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) within the College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for an instructor to teach in the Industrial Engineering program. The instructor position is part-time (varied FTE), 9-month, fixed term Instructor position with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the School Head. There is a potential for a full-time appointment for the 2021-2022 academic year depending upon the qualifications of the candidate and teaching needs. This position requires in-person and online instruction.

The School comprises over 60 academic faculty and instructors, 20 professional faculty, staff and research associates who support nearly 2000 undergraduate and graduate students. The School offers undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.

We seek candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Industrial Engineering, but preference will be given to candidates with in-person and online teaching experience in Engineering Economics for all engineering majors, Probability and Statistics, and Introductory Spreadsheet Skills.
